The highly anticipated Esports World Cup (EWC) 2024 is set to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from July 3rd to August 25th, 2024. This prestigious event will feature the world's best esports athletes competing across various titles, including the highly popular Counter-Strike 2 (CS2).

Counter-Strike 2 at the Esports World Cup

Counter-Strike 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the iconic Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, is set to make its debut at the Esports World Cup 2024. CS2 fans can expect intense battles between the world's best teams as they compete for the coveted EWC title and a share of the substantial prize pool. The Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) tournament at the Esports World Cup 2024 will take place during the third week of the event, from July 17th to July 21rd, 2024. This S-Tier offline tournament, organized by the Esports World Cup Foundation and ESL, will feature 15 teams competing for a massive $1,000,000 prize pool in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.The CS2 competition will follow a specific format:

Format

• Round of 14: Single-elimination bracket with all matches being best-of-three (Bo3). Winners advance to the Playoffs, while losers proceed to the Ressurection
• Ressurection: Single-elimination bracket with all matches being best-of-one (Bo1). The winner advances to the Playoffs. Regional Hero from MENA QUALIFIER starts the tournament from this phase.
• Playoffs: Single-elimination bracket with all matches being Bo3.
